The G Sharp Tools SharpEdge is an innovative, precision-engineered sharpening system designed to make sharpening chisels, plane blades and spokeshave blades quicker, easier and more accurate. Developed by a professional woodworker, the SharpEdge provides a simple and reliable solution for achieving consistently sharp cutting edges without the complications of traditional sharpening methods.
Suitable for blades ranging from 3mm to 85mm wide, the SharpEdge features an adjustable sharpening angle system covering 23° to 90°. Once the desired angle is set, it can be repeated consistently, ensuring a precise, square cutting edge across the width of the blade. Angles can be adjusted quickly, making the system ideal for sharpening a variety of woodworking tools.
Unlike conventional sharpening methods, the SharpEdge keeps the blade stationary throughout the process, providing greater control and improved safety. Suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users, its straightforward design makes achieving professional sharpening results easy, even for less experienced woodworkers.
Manufactured from tough, injection-moulded engineering polymer, the SharpEdge is lightweight, impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Its compact, durable construction makes it ideal for regular workshop use or transporting between jobs, while its dimensional stability helps maintain consistent sharpening accuracy.
The system comes complete with four replaceable diamond hones and a unique backing-off tool for removing burrs and refining the cutting edge. It can also create a secondary micro bevel for an exceptionally sharp finish.
