The SIP Chargestar D40 is a dual-voltage battery charger built for charging and maintaining 12V and 24V lead acid batteries. Designed for workshop and automotive use, it delivers controlled, efficient charging while helping extend battery life.
An 8-step microprocessor-controlled cycle manages the full charging process automatically, adjusting output to suit the battery condition. This helps prevent overcharging and improves overall performance, especially on regularly used or partially discharged batteries.
With a high charging capacity, it is suitable for a wide range of vehicle batteries including cars, vans and light commercial use. The boost function provides a short 40A fast charge for quicker recovery when needed, while the alternator check function allows basic system testing on 12V setups.
The digital interface with soft touch controls gives clear feedback and easy operation. Built-in safety features include reverse polarity protection, anti-spark system, overcharge protection and thermal monitoring with auto restart.
Compact and portable, it includes a carry handle for easy movement around the workshop, and comes supplied with long leads and clamps for immediate use.
Compatible with 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries including WET, MF, EFB, AGM and CaCa types used in cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.
